Concept art for games

For the past Five weeks I have been working on this project this is what I created. I used influences such as Skyrim and Disney in my art. I have learnt how to use the pen tool and the live paint bucket better in illustrator during this project.

Last week

I researched artists such as naughty dog, massive black, Dan Blomberg, Dave Rapoza, Frank Hong, Ben Mauro, Isaac orloff, Eddie Del Rio and Matt Rockefeller I will be putting some of there work up on a later date I have also done some experimenting on illustrator and cinema 4D.

My ideas for 3D animation projects

My first idea is a disk that spins and movies in and out I thought it would look really cool however I desided it might be a bit too ambushes for my first time using cinema 4D

My second idea is a little toy robot that trance forms from a little metal box.

This is a few different ideas of how my robot could look.

I'm experimenting with different medias as an experiment i have a video that shows a flash animation version.

Done on the computer using illustrator. 

First story bored draft.

Used chrome and metallic red spray paint.

Used tin foil covered boxes, spray paint, toilet roll tubes and orange plastic wrapper.

I think the first picture on the left could be used to as inspiration for non liner animation I also love the bright colours, the strange elephant next to it and the egg birds below could be used to help generate ideas if you wanted to create a creatures that do not exist the birds could also give you ideas of how you could use depth in your work.

Research Toy robots

I have chosen to research toy robots because my idea was based off the old tin robots they are an iconic and retro design.

 

Research Minecraft

I have chosen to research Minecraft because the robot I am making for my final piece is mainly made of squares as part of my research into it I am going to create my robot using Minecraft pocket version on my tablet.

I like the way his art looks so random and it still makes something I also like how it looks metallic I think it gives it a futuristic urban look.

I like this artist because I recognise some of these pictures from adverts I've seen on TV.

This advert is part of the Loyds advert I thought the advert was well thought out.

 I like the simple style and shapes.
